Are you using online tactics to attract potential customers for your business? If so, are you successfully establishing yourself as the expert in your particular field? If not, people may not view you as being worthy of their attention.

But, if you do this effectively, your prospects will probably choose to visit your web site or landing page to find out more about your business and what you can possibly offer them.

You could use a blog specific to your industry, or Twitter, MySpace, YouTube and other social sites.

Obviously the bigger our presence, the more exposure we will get, but working all of these sites to market can be so time consuming. So, we might want to focus on a few important ones.

Take some time and sign up on some of them and create your profile, upload a picture, write a bio about yourself and enter in the link or links to your web site you’d like visitors to go to, to check you or learn more about your company and your products or services.

First Place You Must Properly Brand Yourself Online:

You MUST have a blog. Your blog is the hub of your marketing campaign. I personally recommend Word Press.

Start by registering your name or the name of your company or whatever you are going to promote. You can do that at Go Daddy. Make the name you pick simple so you won’t confuse people and keep in mind that this will reinforce your brand.

It is worth creating a personal logo and either creating a graphic or paying someone else to do that for you. You may also want to put your photo or the logo of your brand if you have one. If you can’t do this, my company does it cheap. The link is below.

You can use your blog to offer valuable information and build credibility with your customers. You can also use your blog to build a list of customers or prospects and stay connected.

You can also add an Opt-In box where they can subscribe to your list. A great idea is to give something away for free to motivate them to subscribe. You can give away a free report, ebook, course or newsletter.

A blog is a MUST! It is a key tool in your promotion tool box.

Second Place You Must Properly Brand Yourself Online:

The second place that should be a big part of your branding online is your YouTube Account. Video can be a big way to get the message out to the world about what you can do to help them solve their problems with your products and services.

The thing is, Google owns YouTube. This is huge. You will notice when you do a search that youtube videos usually rank way up there in the results.

Anyone can do this. Just go to YouTube and set up a channel. As you will see, it is easy to do. Next you can add a bio, pictures and links.

Just as you should have your blog done with a nice, eye-catching logo, you can do the same with your YouTube channel. There are companies that can do this for you. We have done a ton of them and can help you, too.

Social networking can be a big part of your promotional efforts. Your YouTube channel can be used to build a growing list of people who are interested in your stuff or just have things in common with you or interest in your interests.

Third Place You Must Properly Brand Yourself Online:

The #3 place to brand yourself is Twitter. Getting on Twitter is simple. You can go set up an account at their web site and proceed to build your profile and list of friends and contacts. Then you can share and get messages from them.

When you communicate on Twitter, you do it with short posts of around one or two sentences. I recommend that you have matching logos or headers on all 3 of these sites for proper branding of your business.

If you have all three of these sites matching, the image you will portray to the public is an image of a real, professional business and not an amateur.

This can throw you way ahead of your competitors and help you big time in your marketing efforts.

In summary, design a custom background or logo that you place on 1) The front page of your blog 2) Your YouTube Channel 3) Your Twitter Page. This way you are throwing forth a nice professional image people will be impressed with. This can lead to more visitors and more sales for your business.

These tips should improve your brand perception. We can help.
