Residual income opportunities all involve receiving a long term, continuing income after you did the work. In general, residual income opportunities come in two distinct varieties.
MLM Income Opportunities — This is were the most important part of your income derives from your downline's sales or purchasing activities. Your primary activity will be promoting your business opportunity.
Affiliate Residual Income Opportunities — This is where an important part of your income derives from the subscription sales of your customers. Your primary activity will be promoting the products your company offers.
This is not to say that there is a clear-cut distinction between the two varieties of residual income opportunities. Many programs combine and emphasize both retail sales and downline building.
Some people involved in MLM income opportunities do sell a lot of the company's products. For example, Shaklee is an MLM company with well know products that many people who are not distributors use.
And, some affiliate programs allow you to receive income from a downline. For example, Commission River is a telecom affiliate program that allows you to recruit new representatives and pays on three levels. Also, SiteSell, an integrated website services provider for average people who want some extra income, pays on 2 levels.
There are lots of residual income opportunities for you to choose from. Lifetime Commissions is one website dedicated to affiliate programs offering residual income and has catalogued several hundred programs in a variety of niches. You can probably find residual income opportunities in any niche you are interested in.
