You probably have no trouble finding the obvious prospects for your network marketing business. What if I told you that there were dozens of prospects you encounter every day but don’t even notice? Don’t feel badly. Learning how to spot prospects is a bit of an art.

Every single minute of every day you have a chance to reach out and find more contacts. It’s so easy once you know what to do you’ll be amazed that you ever thought it was hard. It just takes some effort and attention.

Here’s one basic question that I want you to think about. How often do you talk to people when you’re out and about? You should be talking to people regularly. Follow the 5 foot rule. Anyone within 5 feet of you, whether in a store or elevator or wherever, speak to them politely and briefly.

After you have broken the ice, gauge whether they seem receptive to ongoing conversation. Ask a question like “what do you do for a living?” Depending on how they respond, see if you can’t continue the conversation. They may hint, or even outright state, that they are ready for a new opportunity to come along.

Hopefully they will say yes. If they do, follow this with a statement such as “I have something I think you might want to look at. Would you be interested?” After they say yes you give them some sort of tool. It might be a website or a business card, or you might take their card and offer to get back to them with the information.

That’s it! Pretty simple isn’t it? You will have literally dozens of these opportunities every day, and if you take them your business will flourish. Even if you don’t take all of the opportunities, some is better than none. Maybe start small, with a goal of talking with 5 people each day.

How do you think 5 people every day would impact your network marketing business? At the very least, you’d have plenty of prospects to keep you busy. The more prospects you have, the more potential clients you have. And that grows your business very fast.

Start using that 5 foot rule the next time you are out. You can’t be shy if you want to grow your business. Your network marketing prospects will multiply so quickly you’ll hardly believe it. Along with this, your income will almost certainly skyrocket.

Always use the five foot rule when you go out around other people. Sooner than you think, your marketing efforts will pay big dividends and your business can expand rather rapidly. This will ultimately lead to growth and increased profits.
